ZFC Meuselwitz vs BFC Preussen - Friendlies Clubs

Tactical intrigue takes centre stage on July 11, 2026 as ZFC Meuselwitz and BFC Preussen prepare to square off at the home ground, with both managers known for their strategic nuance in the Friendlies Clubs. The left-back was taken off in the final minutes against Everton with cramp, and was not risked for the Champions League clash vs Sabah on Thursday.

There is little to choose between ZFC Meuselwitz and BFC Preussen on paper, and the Friendlies Clubs encounter should reflect that balance. ZFC Meuselwitz will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. The visitors will travel in the hope that a change of scene can spark a turnaround, whatever the form book says. In his latest column, Paul Merson predicts the 2026/27 Premier League season at both ends of the table.

Set-piece efficiency and transition play often decide fixtures of this nature, and both managers will have been drilling those phases on the training ground. In attack, Brazilian forward Kaua Elias has emerged as a name of interest, with United scouts watching the Shakhtar Donetsk striker after his hat‑trick against Kudrivka on Monday.

Game-changers are scattered across both line-ups, and the contest may well be decided by which side's match-winners deliver on the day. How each side deals with the other's danger men — and who takes their chances when they come — will be central to the outcome. With Barcelona closing in on a move for Manchester City midfielder Rodri, it seems as though the La Liga giants are no longer serious in their interest for Marcus Rashford.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. The signals point towards a stalemate, with the two sides closely matched across form and standings. A 1-1 draw is easy to envisage. With positions in the Friendlies Clubs table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. Premier League chief executive Richard Masters says a verdict on the alleged charges against Manchester City "has taken longer than expected".
