Weiz vs St. Anna - Regionalliga - Mitte

All eyes turn to the home ground on April 30, 2026 as Weiz welcome St. Anna in a Regionalliga - Mitte encounter that promises tension, intrigue and no shortage of subplot. The 74-year-old Hoops boss admitted that "it'll be a bit strange not having the (Celtic) fans in but I'm nervously and excitedly looking forward to it; it's a great fixture" and also spoke about the police visit.

Both camps will view the Regionalliga - Mitte meeting at the home ground as an opportunity to put a marker down, regardless of where they currently stand. The hosts will be looking to find their rhythm and put a run of results together. The visitors will travel in the hope that a change of scene can spark a turnaround, whatever the form book says. The midfielder faces a significant period on the sidelines after being stretchered off during Uruguay's 1-0 defeat to Spain in the recent FIFA World Cup.

The tactical battle could prove decisive. Weiz may lean on their home advantage to dictate the tempo, but St. Anna have shown they can be dangerous when allowed to play on their own terms. But this approach also takes something that is almost anonymous in football - time.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. Set-piece specialists and aerial threats on both sides mean dead-ball situations could carry outsized importance. United and Chelsea are reportedly set to go head-to-head for Bologna defender Jhon Lucumi.

Predicting an outright winner is no easy task given how little separates the two sides on paper. Neither side holds a clear edge, and a 1-1 draw would be a fitting reflection of the balance between them. The ramifications of this result could ripple through the Regionalliga - Mitte standings for weeks to come, regardless of who comes out on top. The Spaniard heading to Barca all but rules out a midfield departure from the Bernabeu and thus United will likely have to look elsewhere.
