Vvsb vs GOES - Derde Divisie - Sunday

Vvsb prepare to host GOES at the home ground on May 16, 2026, with both sides eager to assert their credentials and claim a result that could define their Derde Divisie - Sunday season. LIV Golf definitely changed the face of the professional game with the extortionate amounts of money that they pumped into the league.

A glance at the Derde Divisie - Sunday table tells the story: Vvsb in 3rd and GOES in 13th, with positions to defend and places to climb. The hosts will be looking to find their rhythm and put a run of results together. The visitors will back themselves to cause problems and will not make the trip expecting an easy afternoon. The Saudi Pro League side have now placed a €45 million package on the table, while Watkins himself is understood to be open to making the move.

Tactically, the contest promises a fascinating contrast. Vvsb will look to impose their style on home soil, while GOES are likely to have ideas of their own about how to gain the upper hand. Chelsea have been encouraged to consider a surprise move for Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, with former Red Devils midfielder Quinton Fortune believing the Cameroon international could suit their style of football.

The fixture is likely to be shaped by its key performers, with creative midfielders and clinical finishers on both sides capable of turning the game in an instant. The wide areas will be a key battleground, with full-backs and wingers on either side capable of swinging the contest one way or the other. The midfielder set up Riccardo Calafiori for Arsenal's opener in their dominant Community Shield win over Manchester City with a superb assist.

With the sides closely matched, the outcome may well hinge on which team takes its chances on the day. On balance, Vvsb look well-placed to claim all three points, and a 2-1 home win would not come as a surprise. The result at the home ground could resonate well beyond matchday in the Derde Divisie - Sunday picture. Fulham's Antonee Robinson could be one of those, who would likely be a cheaper alternative to Hall, who has just enjoyed a breakout season with the Magpies.
