Vllaznia Shkodër vs Flamurtari - Superliga

Vllaznia Shkodër prepare to host Flamurtari at the home ground on May 10, 2026, with both sides eager to assert their credentials and claim a result that could define their Superliga season. There are just three weeks to go in the transfer window and City face more transfer questions than answers ahead of the new campaign.

Form and standings can only tell part of the story when Vllaznia Shkodër and Flamurtari cross paths in the Superliga, and pride alone should guarantee a contest. Vllaznia Shkodër are still searching for momentum, L in their last five and a season win rate of just 0%. Flamurtari will travel with intent, knowing that a positive result here could kick-start their campaign. Larson’s long-term plans have attracted renewed attention following teammate Alex Bowman’s recent announcement that he intends to retire from full-time Cup Series competition at the end of the 2027 season.

The tactical battle could prove decisive. Vllaznia Shkodër may lean on their home advantage to dictate the tempo, but Flamurtari have shown they can be dangerous when allowed to play on their own terms. A month before his death, he was also arrested in Arkansas on charges including possession of a controlled substance.

In fixtures as finely poised as this one, it often comes down to who holds their nerve in the big moments — and both camps have players who relish that responsibility. How each side deals with the other's danger men — and who takes their chances when they come — will be central to the outcome. Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has thanked AS Monaco after his contract was terminated by the club.

Predicting an outright winner is no easy task given how little separates the two sides on paper. Neither side holds a clear edge, and a 1-1 draw would be a fitting reflection of the balance between them. With positions in the Superliga table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. And Fonseca does not place too much weight on the decision of Roberto Martinez to omit him from the World Cup squad in favour of his Benfica team-mate Tomas Araujo.
