Start vs Brann - Friendlies Clubs

There is a notable edge to this Friendlies Clubs fixture. When Start meet Brann at the home ground on October 2, 2026, both will sense an opportunity to land a telling blow. Chelsea could do with a morale-boosting win when they face AC Milan in Jakarta.

Both Start and Brann will be eager to build momentum when they meet in Friendlies Clubs. The hosts will be looking to find their rhythm and put a run of results together. The visitors will back themselves to cause problems and will not make the trip expecting an easy afternoon. Despite his age, and recent injury record, Rodri remains the most complete central midfielder to have operated in the Premier League over the past five years.

How the two sides approach the contest strategically will be key. Start will want to control proceedings in front of their own supporters, while Brann will back themselves to cause problems on the break. Rico Lewis played at right-back, but when City were in possession he tucked infield and supported the midfield pairing of Mateo Kovacic and Reijnders.

Game-changers are scattered across both line-ups, and the contest may well be decided by which side's match-winners deliver on the day. Discipline at the back and sharpness in front of goal will likely tilt the balance one way or the other. Worth mentioning the forward is okay and is back on the pitch.

Predictions are tricky when the sides are this evenly matched, and small margins — a moment of quality, a slice of luck — could decide it either way. Expect a tight, competitive affair that could easily end all square at 1-1. With positions in the Friendlies Clubs table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank.
