SC Genemuiden vs TEC - Derde Divisie

The Derde Divisie returns to the home ground on April 11, 2026, where SC Genemuiden and TEC will lock horns in a contest that could shape their respective campaigns. The left-back was taken off in the final minutes against Everton with cramp, and was not risked for the Champions League clash vs Sabah on Thursday.

The two sides arrive with plenty to prove, and the Derde Divisie contest at the home ground offers a chance to lay down a marker. SC Genemuiden have found a groove, WWWWW across their last five and operating at a win rate of 100% this season. On their travels the visitors have been workmanlike, D in their last five and a win rate of 40% to show for it. The contrast in attacking output — 2.8 versus 2.6 goals per game — adds an extra layer of intrigue. One position every Premier League club still needs to strengthen in before the transfer window closes.

Stylistically, this is a compelling matchup. SC Genemuiden favour a patient, possession-based approach, whereas TEC are at their most dangerous when allowed to hit quickly on the counter. Schalke had only 17 per cent of the possession but, having visited the club to interview their charismatic coach Miron Muslic, that is hardly a surprise.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. Discipline at the back and sharpness in front of goal will likely tilt the balance one way or the other. He also played predominantly as a right winger or shadow striker for Juve.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. Neither side holds a clear edge, and a 3-3 draw would be a fitting reflection of the balance between them. The result at the home ground could resonate well beyond matchday in the Derde Divisie picture. It is understood that his next move is most likely to take him abroad - and potentially to the Premier League.
