Rwanda U23 vs Sudan U23 - CAF U23 Cup of Nations

The CAF U23 Cup of Nations returns to the home ground on September 30, 2026, where Rwanda U23 and Sudan U23 will lock horns in a contest that could shape their respective campaigns. There are just three weeks to go in the transfer window and City face more transfer questions than answers ahead of the new campaign.

Both Rwanda U23 and Sudan U23 will be eager to build momentum when they meet in CAF U23 Cup of Nations. The hosts will be looking to find their rhythm and put a run of results together. Set-piece efficiency and transition play often decide fixtures of this nature, and both managers will have been drilling those phases on the training ground. Schalke were third bottom for possession in winning the second tier, let alone facing Bayern.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. The wide areas will be a key battleground, with full-backs and wingers on either side capable of swinging the contest one way or the other. The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. With the sides so closely matched, a 1-1 stalemate looks the most likely way this one ends. With the standings tight and form on the line, this is a fixture neither side will want to lose. Manchester City will begin another Premier League season with major uncertainty hanging over the club after league chief executive Richard Masters admitted the long-awaited verdict on their financial case has taken longer than expected.
