Riverside vs South East Utd. - Tasmania NPL

Riverside prepare to host South East Utd. at Windsor Park on May 9, 2026, with both sides eager to assert their credentials and claim a result that could define their Tasmania NPL season. Tottenham face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.

There is little to choose between Riverside and South East Utd. on paper, and the Tasmania NPL encounter should reflect that balance. Riverside will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. The visitors will back themselves to cause problems and will not make the trip expecting an easy afternoon. Dusan Vlahovic followed up his hat-trick on Monday by completing the comeback to leave Fenerbahce four points behind Galatasaray, who snatched a late winner at Basaksehir on Friday.

Tactically, the contest promises a fascinating contrast. Riverside will look to impose their style on home soil, while South East Utd. are likely to have ideas of their own about how to gain the upper hand. After the loss, a lot of questions began to be raised about their different approach to preparing for the game.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. Discipline at the back and sharpness in front of goal will likely tilt the balance one way or the other. In Bouaddi, Maresca has found himself a defensive midfielder with very few weaknesses, both a receiver and a carrier.

With the sides closely matched, the outcome may well hinge on which team takes its chances on the day. The signals point towards a stalemate, with the two sides closely matched across form and standings. A 1-1 draw is easy to envisage. With positions in the Tasmania NPL table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. The Spaniard heading to Barca all but rules out a midfield departure from the Bernabeu and thus United will likely have to look elsewhere.
