The Paranaense - 2 returns to the home ground on May 3, 2026, where Rio Branco PR and Araucária will lock horns in a contest that could shape their respective campaigns. Catch up with all the action from Chelsea's pre-season clash with AC Milan.

Both camps will view the Paranaense - 2 meeting at the home ground as an opportunity to put a marker down, regardless of where they currently stand. Rio Branco PR will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. Araucária will travel with intent, knowing that a positive result here could kick-start their campaign. During his 22 matches in charge, Oxford actually ranked as high as 14th in the table.

How the two sides approach the contest strategically will be key. Rio Branco PR will want to control proceedings in front of their own supporters, while Araucária will back themselves to cause problems on the break. His all-action approach did not just suit the demands of Luis Enrique, it appeared to have a transformative effect on those around him, setting new standards in the forward line.

Neither side is short on individuals capable of tilting the balance, and the duel between the two squads' chief creators could prove particularly pivotal. The battle in midfield, where both sides look to control tempo, could prove the decisive arena. The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. A share of the spoils looks the most probable outcome, with neither side holding a decisive edge — a 1-1 draw feels like a fitting result. More than just three points is on the line at the home ground — this is a fixture that could shape the narrative of both clubs' seasons. Harry Kane is the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or.
