Polemidion vs Ermis - 2. Division

The history between Polemidion and Ermis lends this 2. Division fixture an extra layer of spice, and when the two walk out at the home ground on October 10, 2026, recent encounters will be on everyone's mind. There are just three weeks to go in the transfer window and City face more transfer questions than answers ahead of the new campaign.

Both Polemidion and Ermis will be eager to build momentum when they meet in 2. Division. The hosts have been steady if unspectacular, LW in their last five reflecting a win rate of 50%. The visitors arrive in confident mood, their recent run of WLL backed by a season win rate of 100%. The contrast in attacking output — 0.5 versus 2 goals per game — adds an extra layer of intrigue. In what is arguably the most pointed contrast to Chelsea's recruitment strategy of recent years, Andrich was almost 25 years old when he made his Bundesliga debut for Union Berlin.

Stylistically, this is a compelling matchup. Polemidion favour a patient, possession-based approach, whereas Ermis are at their most dangerous when allowed to hit quickly on the counter. That radar allows City to retain control, momentum and possession in games, pinning opponents back in the tempered style Guardiola favoured.

In fixtures as finely poised as this one, it often comes down to who holds their nerve in the big moments — and both camps have players who relish that responsibility. Set-piece specialists and aerial threats on both sides mean dead-ball situations could carry outsized importance. Now Tutto Mercato are claiming £60m may be enough to convince Juventus to part with the centre-forward.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. With the sides so closely matched, a 2-2 stalemate looks the most likely way this one ends. With positions in the 2. Division table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. England captain Harry Kane is likely to sign a new deal to extend his stay at Bayern Munich despite interest from Barcelona.
