Middelfart vs B 93 - 1. Division

Middelfart prepare to host B 93 at the home ground on May 23, 2026, with both sides eager to assert their credentials and claim a result that could define their 1. Division season. O'Neill made five changes for Celtic's midweek win at St Johnstone as he rested some key players ahead of Sunday's clash.

Both Middelfart and B 93 will be eager to build momentum when they meet in 1. Division. The hosts will be looking to find their rhythm and put a run of results together. B 93's away form is hard to read, but they will arrive with the belief that they can trouble their hosts. He was sacked by Fiorentina after Che Adams' late goal for Torino left them bottom of the Serie A table with three defeats out of three.

The tactical battle could prove decisive. Middelfart may lean on their home advantage to dictate the tempo, but B 93 have shown they can be dangerous when allowed to play on their own terms. His passing display at the World Cup was yet more evidence of his suitability for City and the possession-heavy style Maresca favours.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. Discipline at the back and sharpness in front of goal will likely tilt the balance one way or the other. They are still debating the merits of signing a third midfielder, a deal for Lewis Hall is going to be extremely difficult to pull off and Marcus Rashford's situation means signing an attacker isn't currently off the agenda.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. A share of the spoils looks the most probable outcome, with neither side holding a decisive edge — a 1-1 draw feels like a fitting result. The result at the home ground could resonate well beyond matchday in the 1. Division picture. Fulham's Antonee Robinson could be one of those, who would likely be a cheaper alternative to Hall, who has just enjoyed a breakout season with the Magpies.
