Form and standings can only tell part of the story when Lochau and Hard cross paths in the Landesliga - Vorarlbergliga, and pride alone should guarantee a contest. Lochau will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. Hard's away form is hard to read, but they will arrive with the belief that they can trouble their hosts. The Ghana winger, signed on loan from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise on transfer deadline day, drilled in an angled shot on the run, via the inside of the far post, for his first Derby goal.

The touchline duel between the two managers adds another layer of intrigue, with both likely to tweak their setups in search of a decisive edge. Anderson can still play proactively from deep, but he will have other technical players around him to lighten the load in possession, and zones to hit rather than always playing to feet.

The fixture is likely to be shaped by its key performers, with creative midfielders and clinical finishers on both sides capable of turning the game in an instant. The battle in midfield, where both sides look to control tempo, could prove the decisive arena. The most obvious one is that Haaland is the best striker in the world and as promising as Sesko looks, he isn't anywhere near that level at the moment.

Without the market to lean on, the contest feels genuinely open — and the outcome may come down to which side handles the occasion better. A share of the spoils looks the most probable outcome, with neither side holding a decisive edge — a 1-1 draw feels like a fitting result. The result at the home ground could resonate well beyond matchday in the Landesliga - Vorarlbergliga picture. A more central role appears likely given the sale of Youri Tielemans to Manchester United and the anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered by Amadou Onana at the World Cup.
