Kuwait U20 vs UAE U20 - Friendlies

There is a notable edge to this Friendlies fixture. When Kuwait U20 meet UAE U20 at the home ground on August 24, 2026, both will sense an opportunity to land a telling blow. Manchester United drew 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain in their fourth pre-season fixture of the summer on Saturday.

A glance at the Friendlies table tells the story: Kuwait U20 in 229th and UAE U20 in 261st, with positions to defend and places to climb. Kuwait U20 will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. The visitors will travel in the hope that a change of scene can spark a turnaround, whatever the form book says. One position every Premier League club still needs to strengthen in before the transfer window closes.

The tactical battle could prove decisive. Kuwait U20 may lean on their home advantage to dictate the tempo, but UAE U20 have shown they can be dangerous when allowed to play on their own terms. Schalke were third bottom for possession in winning the second tier, let alone facing Bayern.

The fixture boasts genuine star quality. With M. Sabitzer topping the Friendlies scoring charts at 3 goals, the stage is set for the kind of individual brilliance that can swing a contest. The battle in midfield, where both sides look to control tempo, could prove the decisive arena. According to a report from Sportowy, Liverpool are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old attacking midfielder, and they are gathering reports on his performances and his development.

Without the market to lean on, the contest feels genuinely open — and the outcome may come down to which side handles the occasion better. The weight of evidence points to Kuwait U20, and a 2-1 win for the hosts feels like the most probable outcome. With the standings tight and form on the line, this is a fixture neither side will want to lose.
