Kosova Neuchatel vs Lausanne - Schweizer Cup

All eyes turn to the home ground on August 14, 2026 as Kosova Neuchatel welcome Lausanne in a Schweizer Cup encounter that promises tension, intrigue and no shortage of subplot. The 18‑year‑old midfielder featured off the bench in the Foxes’ Carabao Cup first‑round tie last weekend, but could still depart before the window closes.

Form and standings can only tell part of the story when Kosova Neuchatel and Lausanne cross paths in the Schweizer Cup, and pride alone should guarantee a contest. The hosts will hope that the the home ground crowd can inspire a performance, whatever the numbers suggest. The visitors will back themselves to cause problems and will not make the trip expecting an easy afternoon. It’s safe to say that Paige Bueckers is putting up elite all-around numbers in her second WNBA season for the Dallas Wings, averaging over 20 points and nearly six assists a night.

Game-changers are scattered across both line-ups, and the contest may well be decided by which side's match-winners deliver on the day. Radek Vitek signs for Middlesbrough from Manchester United Man United have shown interest in Igor Thiago but Brentford have no intention of selling the striker this summer, says TEAMtalk.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. The signals point towards a stalemate, with the two sides closely matched across form and standings. A 1-1 draw is easy to envisage. Whatever the outcome, the Schweizer Cup fixture promises a meaningful contest with real implications for both clubs. Fulham's Antonee Robinson could be one of those, who would likely be a cheaper alternative to Hall, who has just enjoyed a breakout season with the Magpies.
