Igalo vs Berane - Second League

There is a notable edge to this Second League fixture. When Igalo meet Berane at the home ground on March 28, 2026, both will sense an opportunity to land a telling blow. LIV Golf definitely changed the face of the professional game with the extortionate amounts of money that they pumped into the league.

There is plenty riding on this Second League encounter for Igalo and Berane alike, and neither will want to leave the home ground empty-handed. The hosts will hope that the the home ground crowd can inspire a performance, whatever the numbers suggest. It has been a wretched run on the road for the visitors, LD in their last five and a win rate of 0% that explains their lowly standing. That result ended the European giants' 14-game unbeaten run in the competition, as Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham were contained by an "incredible" performance from a player barely anyone outside of France had heard of.

The tactical subplot is compelling: Igalo favour a possession-based game built on patience and control, while Berane are happiest sitting deep and exploding forward on the counter — a classic contrast of philosophies. The winner came from a rare counter-attack by the new-look Spurs side, who defended well throughout with Andy Robertson making his first start and Jan Paul van Hecke on debut, as they battled to secure another win in pre-season.

Neither side is short on individuals capable of tilting the balance, and the duel between the two squads' chief creators could prove particularly pivotal. Discipline at the back and sharpness in front of goal will likely tilt the balance one way or the other. You need to move forward if you want to play on the world stage." But a season with Jose Mourinho, an unbeaten league campaign no less, is hardly a waste.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. The signals point towards a stalemate, with the two sides closely matched across form and standings. A 1-1 draw is easy to envisage. With positions in the Second League table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. All I ever wanted to do was win a championship for the New York Giants.” Beckham Jr is likely to play in the Giants’ first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings at MetLife Stadium next weekend.
