Anderson was pointing out that City had held the whip hand in this fixture "for as long as I've known", which isn't exactly inaccurate but will also fan the flames ahead of Sunday's Old Trafford showdown.

There is little to choose between Huntly and Keith on paper, and the Football League - Highland League encounter should reflect that balance. Huntly will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. Keith will travel with intent, knowing that a positive result here could kick-start their campaign. In terms of net spend, Liverpool topped the table with £219.4m, followed by Ipswich (£190.7m), Spurs (£176m) and Hull (£160.5m).

Set-piece specialists and aerial threats on both sides mean dead-ball situations could carry outsized importance. Arsenal’s pursuit of Ezri Konsa appears to be entering a decisive stage, with growing suggestions that the Aston Villa defender could finally complete his move to the Emirates.

Predictions are tricky when the sides are this evenly matched, and small margins — a moment of quality, a slice of luck — could decide it either way. With the sides so closely matched, a 1-1 stalemate looks the most likely way this one ends. The ramifications of this result could ripple through the Football League - Highland League standings for weeks to come, regardless of who comes out on top.
