Gnas vs Bad Waltersdorf - Landesliga - Steiermark

The Landesliga - Steiermark returns to the home ground on May 15, 2026, where Gnas and Bad Waltersdorf will lock horns in a contest that could shape their respective campaigns. Anderson was pointing out that City had held the whip hand in this fixture "for as long as I've known", which isn't exactly inaccurate but will also fan the flames ahead of Sunday's Old Trafford showdown.

The two sides arrive with plenty to prove, and the Landesliga - Steiermark contest at the home ground offers a chance to lay down a marker. Gnas will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. The visitors will travel in the hope that a change of scene can spark a turnaround, whatever the form book says. The Ghana winger, signed on loan from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise on transfer deadline day, drilled in an angled shot on the run, via the inside of the far post, for his first Derby goal.

The tactical subplot is compelling: Gnas favour a possession-based game built on patience and control, while Bad Waltersdorf are happiest sitting deep and exploding forward on the counter — a classic contrast of philosophies. But the key difference is understanding the game, in possession and out of possession.

Game-changers are scattered across both line-ups, and the contest may well be decided by which side's match-winners deliver on the day. How each side deals with the other's danger men — and who takes their chances when they come — will be central to the outcome. The agency Roc Nation are reportedly working on getting Real Madrid striker Endrick a transfer to the Premier League this summer.

With the sides closely matched, the outcome may well hinge on which team takes its chances on the day. Expect a tight, competitive affair that could easily end all square at 1-1. With the standings tight and form on the line, this is a fixture neither side will want to lose. The Spaniard heading to Barca all but rules out a midfield departure from the Bernabeu and thus United will likely have to look elsewhere.
