Fiorentina W vs Parma W - Serie A Women

Few would have predicted the narrative arc that brings Fiorentina W and Parma W together at the home ground on March 22, 2026, and the underdog storyline only adds to the Serie A Women occasion. Manchester United drew 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain in their fourth pre-season fixture of the summer on Saturday.

The two sides arrive with plenty to prove, and the Serie A Women contest at the home ground offers a chance to lay down a marker. Fiorentina W will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. Parma W's away form is hard to read, but they will arrive with the belief that they can trouble their hosts. It’s safe to say that Paige Bueckers is putting up elite all-around numbers in her second WNBA season for the Dallas Wings, averaging over 20 points and nearly six assists a night.

The tactical battle could prove decisive. Fiorentina W may lean on their home advantage to dictate the tempo, but Parma W have shown they can be dangerous when allowed to play on their own terms. A month before his death, he was also arrested in Arkansas on charges including possession of a controlled substance.

Game-changers are scattered across both line-ups, and the contest may well be decided by which side's match-winners deliver on the day. How each side deals with the other's danger men — and who takes their chances when they come — will be central to the outcome. The ex-AC Milan midfielder superbly set up Ait-Nouri's opener before he restored City's lead with a fine low finish across goal from Semenyo's inventive backheel assist.

Predicting an outright winner is no easy task given how little separates the two sides on paper. The signals point towards a stalemate, with the two sides closely matched across form and standings. A 1-1 draw is easy to envisage. Whatever the outcome, the Serie A Women fixture promises a meaningful contest with real implications for both clubs. Fulham's Antonee Robinson could be one of those, who would likely be a cheaper alternative to Hall, who has just enjoyed a breakout season with the Magpies.
