Finn Harps vs UCD - First Division

A fascinating First Division chapter awaits on June 12, 2026 when Finn Harps take on UCD at Finn Park — two sides with plenty to play for and everything to prove. The left-back was taken off in the final minutes against Everton with cramp, and was not risked for the Champions League clash vs Sabah on Thursday.

Both camps will view the First Division meeting at Finn Park as an opportunity to put a marker down, regardless of where they currently stand. The hosts are badly in need of a turnaround, with LW in their last five and a win rate of just 18.75% highlighting their struggles. The visitors have been a steady presence on the road, LDLLL in their last five and a campaign win rate of 43.75%. The contrast in attacking output — 0.91 versus 1.75 goals per game — adds an extra layer of intrigue. He went on to play 309 games in the league, averaging 10.2 points per game across his career.

The tactical battle could prove decisive. Finn Harps may lean on their home advantage to dictate the tempo, but UCD have shown they can be dangerous when allowed to play on their own terms. Schalke had only 17 per cent of the possession but, having visited the club to interview their charismatic coach Miron Muslic, that is hardly a surprise.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. Discipline at the back and sharpness in front of goal will likely tilt the balance one way or the other. Ramos did eventually score the breakthrough goal midway through the second half but that was one of eight attempts at goal by the Portuguese forward - and there were no fewer than four big chances missed.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. The signals point towards a stalemate, with the two sides closely matched across form and standings. A 2-2 draw is easy to envisage. More than just three points is on the line at Finn Park — this is a fixture that could shape the narrative of both clubs' seasons. All I ever wanted to do was win a championship for the New York Giants.” Beckham Jr is likely to play in the Giants’ first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings at MetLife Stadium next weekend.
