FC Midtjylland vs Odense - Friendlies Clubs

FC Midtjylland prepare to host Odense at the home ground on July 17, 2026, with both sides eager to assert their credentials and claim a result that could define their Friendlies Clubs season. Manchester City face the K-League All-Stars in Seoul as part of their pre-season tour of Asia.

There is plenty riding on this Friendlies Clubs encounter for FC Midtjylland and Odense alike, and neither will want to leave the home ground empty-handed. FC Midtjylland's recent form is difficult to quantify, but the occasion itself should bring the best out of them. The visitors will back themselves to cause problems and will not make the trip expecting an easy afternoon. A young right-back is another position City are interested in adding in, while, in terms of outgoings, goalkeeper James Trafford is close to joining Leeds so will need to be replaced.

Tactically, the contest promises a fascinating contrast. FC Midtjylland will look to impose their style on home soil, while Odense are likely to have ideas of their own about how to gain the upper hand. Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: "If I’m Manchester United right now, I say press the green button and buy him, take him, right now.

The fixture is likely to be shaped by its key performers, with creative midfielders and clinical finishers on both sides capable of turning the game in an instant. The wide areas will be a key battleground, with full-backs and wingers on either side capable of swinging the contest one way or the other. Adeyemi came on as a substitute to score a wonderful goal against Atalanta in the Champions League.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. Expect a tight, competitive affair that could easily end all square at 1-1. The ramifications of this result could ripple through the Friendlies Clubs standings for weeks to come, regardless of who comes out on top. Important qualities given that Bournemouth will expect him to be proactive.
