The history between Erith Town and Cray Valley PM lends this FA Trophy fixture an extra layer of spice, and when the two walk out at the home ground on August 29, 2026, recent encounters will be on everyone's mind. The standings paint a clear picture: Erith Town in 40th, Cray Valley PM in 81st, and both keen to climb. Erith Town will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. The visitors will travel in the hope that a change of scene can spark a turnaround, whatever the form book says. Their 3-0 win over Nice takes them up to second spot in the fledgling Ligue 1 table.

Stylistically, this is a compelling matchup. Erith Town favour a patient, possession-based approach, whereas Cray Valley PM are at their most dangerous when allowed to hit quickly on the counter. Few of Bouaddi's age possess such a rare blend of physicality off the ball, and poise and balance in possession.

Individual moments of quality could tip the balance. Both sides possess players capable of producing something out of nothing, and a single flash of brilliance may be all that separates them. How each side deals with the other's danger men — and who takes their chances when they come — will be central to the outcome. United are keen on signing the Newcastle United defender, but will move to sign the United States international if they're unable to sign the England full-back.

Predicting an outright winner is no easy task given how little separates the two sides on paper. On balance, Erith Town look well-placed to claim all three points, and a 2-1 home win would not come as a surprise. With positions in the FA Trophy table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. Fulham's Antonee Robinson could be one of those, who would likely be a cheaper alternative to Hall, who has just enjoyed a breakout season with the Magpies.
