Dečić vs Arsenal Tivat - Friendlies Clubs

Few would have predicted the narrative arc that brings Dečić and Arsenal Tivat together at the home ground on July 4, 2026, and the underdog storyline only adds to the Friendlies Clubs occasion. Manchester United play in Gothenburg on Saturday as they take on Paris-Saint Germain in their fourth pre-season fixture.

There is plenty riding on this Friendlies Clubs encounter for Dečić and Arsenal Tivat alike, and neither will want to leave the home ground empty-handed. The hosts will hope that the the home ground crowd can inspire a performance, whatever the numbers suggest. Arsenal Tivat's away form is hard to read, but they will arrive with the belief that they can trouble their hosts. During his 22 matches in charge, Oxford actually ranked as high as 14th in the table.

The tactical battle could prove decisive. Dečić may lean on their home advantage to dictate the tempo, but Arsenal Tivat have shown they can be dangerous when allowed to play on their own terms. Tottenham have changed their approach and are spending big on players who already know the Premier League.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. Set-piece specialists and aerial threats on both sides mean dead-ball situations could carry outsized importance. The 18-year-old midfielder is set to team up with the club's academy before moving into the first-team once he has settled in.

Predicting an outright winner is no easy task given how little separates the two sides on paper. The signals point towards a stalemate, with the two sides closely matched across form and standings. A 1-1 draw is easy to envisage. With the standings tight and form on the line, this is a fixture neither side will want to lose. It is understood that his next move is most likely to take him abroad - and potentially to the Premier League.
