CS Afumati vs CSA Steaua Bucureşti - Friendlies Clubs

The Friendlies Clubs returns to the home ground on July 11, 2026, where CS Afumati and CSA Steaua Bucureşti will lock horns in a contest that could shape their respective campaigns. Catch up with all the action from Chelsea's pre-season clash with AC Milan.

Form and standings can only tell part of the story when CS Afumati and CSA Steaua Bucureşti cross paths in the Friendlies Clubs, and pride alone should guarantee a contest. CS Afumati will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. CSA Steaua Bucureşti will travel with intent, knowing that a positive result here could kick-start their campaign. The on-loan Southampton striker had scored on his debut for Auxerre in defeat last weekend but followed it up with the winning goal against Nice to earn his old boss Will Still his first points in the job.

Set-piece efficiency could prove the difference on the night. Both CS Afumati and CSA Steaua Bucureşti have invested time in dead-ball situations this season, and a single corner or free-kick may settle it. But it was a dual role for Rayo because he was also among the top dozen players for blocking crosses and winning possession in the defensive third.

In fixtures as finely poised as this one, it often comes down to who holds their nerve in the big moments — and both camps have players who relish that responsibility. How each side deals with the other's danger men — and who takes their chances when they come — will be central to the outcome. Switzerland forward Amdouni bounced his far-post header into the net after goalkeeper Josh Vickers had flapped at a Lucas Pires corner.

Without the market to lean on, the contest feels genuinely open — and the outcome may come down to which side handles the occasion better. Expect a tight, competitive affair that could easily end all square at 1-1. The result at the home ground could resonate well beyond matchday in the Friendlies Clubs picture. Fulham's Antonee Robinson could be one of those, who would likely be a cheaper alternative to Hall, who has just enjoyed a breakout season with the Magpies.
