CODM Meknès vs Widad Témara - Friendlies Clubs

The Friendlies Clubs returns to the home ground on September 16, 2026, where CODM Meknès and Widad Témara will lock horns in a contest that could shape their respective campaigns. LIV Golf definitely changed the face of the professional game with the extortionate amounts of money that they pumped into the league.

Both CODM Meknès and Widad Témara will be eager to build momentum when they meet in Friendlies Clubs. The hosts will be looking to find their rhythm and put a run of results together. The visitors will travel in the hope that a change of scene can spark a turnaround, whatever the form book says. Phil Foden was handed a free role in the No 10 position behind striker Muamba, who scored in consecutive pre-season games.

Tactically, the contest promises a fascinating contrast. CODM Meknès will look to impose their style on home soil, while Widad Témara are likely to have ideas of their own about how to gain the upper hand. Tuesday's print edition of ABC, as relayed by Sport Witness, have claimed that Betis turned down a €50m approach from a wealthy non-Premier League club for Antony.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. Discipline at the back and sharpness in front of goal will likely tilt the balance one way or the other. Speaking to The United Stand, he claims Michael Carrick would potentially prefer a player like Aurelien Tchouameni over the Roma midfielder, or an alternative with Premier League experience.

Without the market to lean on, the contest feels genuinely open — and the outcome may come down to which side handles the occasion better. The signals point towards a stalemate, with the two sides closely matched across form and standings. A 1-1 draw is easy to envisage. With positions in the Friendlies Clubs table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. Important qualities given that Bournemouth will expect him to be proactive.
