Chornomorets vs Kryvbas KR - Friendlies Clubs

The Friendlies Clubs returns to the home ground on July 1, 2026, where Chornomorets and Kryvbas KR will lock horns in a contest that could shape their respective campaigns. Manchester United play in Gothenburg on Saturday as they take on Paris-Saint Germain in their fourth pre-season fixture.

The two sides arrive with plenty to prove, and the Friendlies Clubs contest at the home ground offers a chance to lay down a marker. Chornomorets will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. The visitors will back themselves to cause problems and will not make the trip expecting an easy afternoon. In his latest column, Paul Merson predicts the 2026/27 Premier League season at both ends of the table.

Wing play is likely to be central to the contest. Chornomorets will look to stretch the pitch and isolate their wide attackers, while Kryvbas KR must find a way to compress the space and choke the supply lines. Andoni Iraola, like Luis Enrique, is a coach who demands that his players press high.

Game-changers are scattered across both line-ups, and the contest may well be decided by which side's match-winners deliver on the day. The battle in midfield, where both sides look to control tempo, could prove the decisive arena. Several forward have also been under consideration but any potential arrival is linked to Marcus Rashford's future, which looks set to be in Manchester.

Predicting an outright winner is no easy task given how little separates the two sides on paper. Neither side holds a clear edge, and a 1-1 draw would be a fitting reflection of the balance between them. With positions in the Friendlies Clubs table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. It is understood that his next move is most likely to take him abroad - and potentially to the Premier League.
