Calvi Noale vs Adriese - Serie D - Girone C

The history between Calvi Noale and Adriese lends this Serie D - Girone C fixture an extra layer of spice, and when the two walk out at Stadio Comunale "Azzurri d'Italia" on April 11, 2026, recent encounters will be on everyone's mind. Why Manchester United face transfer dilemma with unexpected star of pre-season.

There is little to choose between Calvi Noale and Adriese on paper, and the Serie D - Girone C encounter should reflect that balance. Patchy would be the kindest description of Calvi Noale's recent run: WD in their last five, a season win rate of 25%. Adriese's away form is hard to read, but they will arrive with the belief that they can trouble their hosts. Tim Sherwood makes his predictions for the new Premier League season, including who he thinks will make the top four in the table.

The tactical battle could prove decisive. Calvi Noale may lean on their home advantage to dictate the tempo, but Adriese have shown they can be dangerous when allowed to play on their own terms. No wonder the skipper had talked of a 'new Aston Villa' in the pre-match press conference with what seemed like genuine excitement.

Individual moments of quality could tip the balance. Both sides possess players capable of producing something out of nothing, and a single flash of brilliance may be all that separates them. How each side deals with the other's danger men — and who takes their chances when they come — will be central to the outcome. United spent last summer investing in their forward line to strengthen the attacking options in the squad, with Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha all moving to Old Trafford.

Without the market to lean on, the contest feels genuinely open — and the outcome may come down to which side handles the occasion better. A share of the spoils looks the most probable outcome, with neither side holding a decisive edge — a 1-1 draw feels like a fitting result. With the standings tight and form on the line, this is a fixture neither side will want to lose. And Fonseca does not place too much weight on the decision of Roberto Martinez to omit him from the World Cup squad in favour of his Benfica team-mate Tomas Araujo.
