Caldense vs Guarani MG - Mineiro - 2

All eyes turn to the home ground on June 17, 2026 as Caldense welcome Guarani MG in a Mineiro - 2 encounter that promises tension, intrigue and no shortage of subplot. Chelsea could do with a morale-boosting win when they face AC Milan in Jakarta.

There is plenty riding on this Mineiro - 2 encounter for Caldense and Guarani MG alike, and neither will want to leave the home ground empty-handed. Caldense will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. The visitors will travel in the hope that a change of scene can spark a turnaround, whatever the form book says. The Reds continue to retain an interest in the midfielder Manu Kone and left-back Lewis Hall, while one remaining high-profile departure this summer could come in the form of Marcus Rashford.

The tactical subplot is compelling: Caldense favour a possession-based game built on patience and control, while Guarani MG are happiest sitting deep and exploding forward on the counter — a classic contrast of philosophies. The winner came from a rare counter-attack by the new-look Spurs side, who defended well throughout with Andy Robertson making his first start and Jan Paul van Hecke on debut, as they battled to secure another win in pre-season.

In fixtures as finely poised as this one, it often comes down to who holds their nerve in the big moments — and both camps have players who relish that responsibility. The battle in midfield, where both sides look to control tempo, could prove the decisive arena. The Sun claims Arsenal and United scouted the Shakhtar Donetsk forward, who scored a hat-trick against Kudrivka on Monday and is rated at £30million.

The fixture has the feel of a coin-flip, and picking a winner with any conviction would require a braver pundit than most. With the sides so closely matched, a 1-1 stalemate looks the most likely way this one ends. Whatever the outcome, the Mineiro - 2 fixture promises a meaningful contest with real implications for both clubs. England captain Harry Kane is likely to sign a new deal to extend his stay at Bayern Munich despite interest from Barcelona.
