Arzignano Valchiampo vs PRO Vercelli - Serie C - Girone A

The Serie C - Girone A returns to the home ground on April 25, 2026, where Arzignano Valchiampo and PRO Vercelli will lock horns in a contest that could shape their respective campaigns. Manchester United drew 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain in their fourth pre-season fixture of the summer on Saturday.

Both camps will view the Serie C - Girone A meeting at the home ground as an opportunity to put a marker down, regardless of where they currently stand. The hosts have done enough without setting the world alight, W over their last five and a 40% win rate to their name. PRO Vercelli have found wins elusive, DLWLL in their last five underscoring a win rate of 20%. The contrast in attacking output — 1 versus 1 goals per game — adds an extra layer of intrigue. Paulo Fonseca's men are still smarting from their Champions League play-off exit but now sit third in the table.

Set-piece efficiency could prove the difference on the night. Both Arzignano Valchiampo and PRO Vercelli have invested time in dead-ball situations this season, and a single corner or free-kick may settle it. Few of Bouaddi's age possess such a rare blend of physicality off the ball, and poise and balance in possession.

Game-changers are scattered across both line-ups, and the contest may well be decided by which side's match-winners deliver on the day. The wide areas will be a key battleground, with full-backs and wingers on either side capable of swinging the contest one way or the other. But former Reds forward Teddy Sheringham believes Tielemans isn’t good enough to be the midfielder United needed.

The market has yet to form a strong view, and the contest looks genuinely difficult to call. With the sides so closely matched, a 1-1 stalemate looks the most likely way this one ends. More than just three points is on the line at the home ground — this is a fixture that could shape the narrative of both clubs' seasons. In terms of outgoings, Perri seems closest to an exit, but that will likely have to wait until Trafford's mandated holiday after the World Cup is over or a No 2 arrives.
