1860 Rosenheim vs Kottern - Oberliga - Bayern Süd

All eyes turn to the home ground on September 25, 2026 as 1860 Rosenheim welcome Kottern in a Oberliga - Bayern Süd encounter that promises tension, intrigue and no shortage of subplot. Manchester United play in Gothenburg on Saturday as they take on Paris-Saint Germain in their fourth pre-season fixture.

The two sides arrive with plenty to prove, and the Oberliga - Bayern Süd contest at the home ground offers a chance to lay down a marker. The hosts will hope that the the home ground crowd can inspire a performance, whatever the numbers suggest. Kottern will travel with intent, knowing that a positive result here could kick-start their campaign. During his 22 matches in charge, Oxford actually ranked as high as 14th in the table.

Set-piece efficiency and transition play often decide fixtures of this nature, and both managers will have been drilling those phases on the training ground. Man Utd are pushing higher and working harder to press and counter-press the opposition, especially to win the ball back quickly after a loss of possession.

Star players on both sides will be eager to make their mark, and the individual duels across the pitch could go a long way to deciding the outcome. The battle in midfield, where both sides look to control tempo, could prove the decisive arena. Newcastle United's Lewis Hall is on the club's radar as they look to plan for life without Luke Shaw, while Shakhtar Donetsk's Kaua Elias has reportedly been scouted as a centre-forward alternative.

Predictions are tricky when the sides are this evenly matched, and small margins — a moment of quality, a slice of luck — could decide it either way. A share of the spoils looks the most probable outcome, with neither side holding a decisive edge — a 1-1 draw feels like a fitting result. With positions in the Oberliga - Bayern Süd table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. England captain Harry Kane is likely to sign a new deal to extend his stay at Bayern Munich despite interest from Barcelona.
