Santa Rita vs Serrano PB - Paraibano 2

A fascinating Paraibano 2 chapter awaits on September 24, 2026 when Santa Rita take on Serrano PB at the home ground — two sides with plenty to play for and everything to prove. Football throws up these lovely surprises that you are not expecting from time to time." For now, Bloomfield can enjoy the rare privilege of being able to say yes to his family without checking the fixture list first.

There is plenty riding on this Paraibano 2 encounter for Santa Rita and Serrano PB alike, and neither will want to leave the home ground empty-handed. The hosts will hope that the the home ground crowd can inspire a performance, whatever the numbers suggest. The visitors will back themselves to cause problems and will not make the trip expecting an easy afternoon. In terms of net spend, Liverpool topped the table with £219.4m, followed by Ipswich (£190.7m), Spurs (£176m) and Hull (£160.5m).

The tactical subplot is compelling: Santa Rita favour a possession-based game built on patience and control, while Serrano PB are happiest sitting deep and exploding forward on the counter — a classic contrast of philosophies. Schalke were third bottom for possession in winning the second tier, let alone facing Bayern.

The fixture is likely to be shaped by its key performers, with creative midfielders and clinical finishers on both sides capable of turning the game in an instant. The wide areas will be a key battleground, with full-backs and wingers on either side capable of swinging the contest one way or the other. Former Arsenal youth striker Vigar, who was 21, died in September 2025 after suffering a brain injury when he collided with a concrete barrier trying to keep a ball in play during a match at Wingate and Finchley.

With the sides closely matched, the outcome may well hinge on which team takes its chances on the day. A share of the spoils looks the most probable outcome, with neither side holding a decisive edge — a 1-1 draw feels like a fitting result. With positions in the Paraibano 2 table to defend and momentum to chase, neither side can afford to leave anything in the tank. And Fonseca does not place too much weight on the decision of Roberto Martinez to omit him from the World Cup squad in favour of his Benfica team-mate Tomas Araujo.
