Ratchaburi vs Pattani - FA Cup

Ratchaburi prepare to host Pattani at the home ground on October 21, 2026, with both sides eager to assert their credentials and claim a result that could define their FA Cup season. City could face a huge punishment including points deductions and even expulsion if they fail in their appeal against the verdict of an independent commission, which ruled on more than 100 charges of breaking Premier League rules.

Both Ratchaburi and Pattani will be eager to build momentum when they meet in FA Cup. Ratchaburi will be keen to seize the initiative and build some momentum on home soil. The visitors will back themselves to cause problems and will not make the trip expecting an easy afternoon. The win continues City's 100 per cent record in the Premier League and leaves them points clear of second place Arsenal.

How the two sides approach the contest strategically will be key. Ratchaburi will want to control proceedings in front of their own supporters, while Pattani will back themselves to cause problems on the break. The Germany club were said to be looking for an out-and-out striker to allow Harry Kane to play a deeper role, and made an approach for Sesko in 2024.

Individual moments of quality could tip the balance. Both sides possess players capable of producing something out of nothing, and a single flash of brilliance may be all that separates them. How each side deals with the other's danger men — and who takes their chances when they come — will be central to the outcome. Mourinho's side remain fourth as there were wins for Atletico and for Real Betis, who did not even need Troy Parrott to score in their 5-2 win over Osasuna.

Predictions are tricky when the sides are this evenly matched, and small margins — a moment of quality, a slice of luck — could decide it either way. Expect a tight, competitive affair that could easily end all square at 1-1. The ramifications of this result could ripple through the FA Cup standings for weeks to come, regardless of who comes out on top. Manchester City will begin another Premier League season with major uncertainty hanging over the club after league chief executive Richard Masters admitted the long-awaited verdict on their financial case has taken longer than expected.
